He is the Break in Our Line

Michelle Rheaume Design's

This is one i have been trying to post for a while but i have become backed up on other things. I would like to say it's because i am working on my sisters website non-stop, but it's not... it's World of Warcraft. However, i have been busting my butt on Kayla's page, and you will see an update soon. Also, work has been crazy as well. Moving on, the meat of this post is about adorable softies from Michelle Rheaume. She is amazing. I first discovered her through this:

Most are either treat or Mario themed, and all pretty reasonably priced. I am always a sucker for a well crafted item, especially when it is pertaining to something i like. If it wasn't totally fem to have something like this in your kitchen, i would have one in a heartbeat. However, i am still debating.

The Missouri Breaks.

Type experiment by someone whose name i couldn't even begin to prononce Thijs Verbeek. It's really kinda creepy... but pretty excellent at the same time.

Go to a Hallmark Gold Crown store and check out the (RED) line. it's pretty spectacular.

Things are nuts right now.

At Misery's End

Halloween Round Up

October, it's a great month for creativity. Halloween just allows so many opportunities. My pumpkin I carved, the one I painted, my rice crispy sculpture, and of course my Halloween costume.

It's also a month for horror movies get ready, reviews comin' atcha!:
Planet Terror - This is a movie for men! This is not saying women won't enjoy it, but it's got the recipe for manliness. Blood, gore, zombies, sick humor, cool cars and bikes, Bruce Willis, and the imfamous hot chic with a machine gun leg. I personally don't ask for anything more in a movie.
Death Proof - Tarrantino makes a certain type of movie; wordy and shocking. I personally loved it, and when it's not compaired to Planet Terror, it's easily as good.
28 Weeks Later - Not as good as the first, but still a good "zombie" thriller. The cinematography wasn't as good as the first, but still better than most movies.
Black Sheep - This is exactly how you want a cheesy horror movie to be. I mean it's a movie about sheep cloning in New Zealand gone horribly wrong, you aren't shooting for Oscars here. But still, the casting was done pretty well.
The Hamiltons - Shit sandwich! NEXT! (ps. all of the "Horror Fest" movies are a waste of your time and money)
I'm sure i missed some movies that i watched this month, but thats all that i can remember.

Autumn is in full force here in the mid-west, and this morning, I even got my first taste of winter. Many of the trees have taken on their beautiful shades of red, orange and yellow. Unfortunately, fall is fast here. The wind makes short work of the dead leaves and rushes them to the ground.

Among the Leaves and Vines

Today, at work, we painted pumpkins. There aren't a whole lot of places you can work that allows you to come in late, play around all day, then leave early, and have it be part of your salary. Good times. They will be donated to the Sun Flower House, and auctioned off. Mine's the one with face in the hoodie (if you can tell which that is).

GAH! Ok. My boring life doesn't need to be displayed on the internet. So i deleted the last post. I know i have said this before but i am going to try and stop posting personal things on this blog. Or rather thing that should be left for real life. I feel like i turned the corner here, so this time it might be for real. It's just sometimes it's my only way of getting through ya know? maybe i'm just a screwed up wuss.

Losing Promise

Tonight, Family Guy is doing a Star Wars special, calling it Blue Harvest. The name alone tells me they are being huge nerds about the whole thing. Using my supreme nerd skills i was actually able to find the first 15 minutes of it from the Star War Anniversary celebration about 3/4 months ago. Anyone who is a fan of either Family Guy or Star Wars will love this episode, if you love both, you might want to have a new pair of pants ready just incase you ruin them.
Where do things go awry and how can i stop it from happening, or go back and change them? Have i made the wrong decisions along the way? If not, why does it feel like that? I ask myself this shit everyday... and i feel no more content asking it as i do when i receive then answer. Sometimes i feel alone, even when I'm with others.

The huge Plaza Art Fair was this weekend. It was in fact too big to see all if it in one day, so i went back today to enjoy the rest. It was inspirational to say the least; a lot of interesting artists, as well as all types of people visiting the excitement. I guess this is one of the perks of living in the city, is you are so close to these events it's almost impossible not to go and participate. It was much better than the Westport Art Fair, which as a whole was pretty much a shit fair.

Incase, you don't follow sports both the Eagles and the Chiefs won this weekend. At least sports are looking up.

The New Heart Shopping.

Jeremy Pettis.
More type. i know. But i love good typography.

Guerra de la Paz
doing some pretty sweet stuff with action figures, and fabrics. Enjoy.

After a long weekend of fun-filled excitement and uproarious behaviour from Lauren, her sister Emily, and her best friend Melissa. I learned the secret language of "Op", sudoku, and new ways to have fun. The group is obviously a good one or else i probably wouldn't have kept coming back. With the Plaza Friday evening and Saturday morning, and Legends on Sunday afternoon, the weekend was mostly shopping. I got a couple things, i feel like i need to be more creative with my wardrobe now. We went to Worlds of Fun Saturday night, that was a lot of fun. It was like discovering a part of Missouri I had never seen (even though literally it was, i mean figuratively). It has been quite some time since i have been on a roller coaster, running around the park, just having a good time like a teenager. If you get the chance, go. Come Friday, I feel like i wil get more of this kind of fun, being that i will be going home to be with highschool friends. Until then though, there is a decent amount of work to be done.

love, Josh

Anniversary of Nothing

Another rainy day in Missouri. I remain heart broken. Today will be especially hard. I had planned to take Heather out to dinner tonight and have a nice romantic evening. Obviously, that won't be the case.

Thats one of my illustrations. this particular character, of myself, i have been drawing the longest out of all of my others. i like how he has gotten progressingly uglier as time progressed. He is a much simpler design but i believe it was for the better. it's too bad i suck as an illustrator.

Mike Perry. Midwest is Best.
I loves me some typography. His illustrations are awesome too. I am getting the impression that most people have viewed this site well before i have... but i am going to post it anyhow, because i think his stuff is just neato. Besides, i haven't really come across anything else worth posting.

If you enjoy looking at what you can't afford to do to your place (i know i am!), then this is the site to visit. Modern interior design in wealthy homes.

At work, none of MY designs were picked in the line-up. "Too alternitive looking" they say. I'm just sick. Today sucks, as usual. Enjoy the sites, i am going to go sulk over what work i have.

Falling Like Bricks

So, I missed my opportunity to possibly one of the coolest things to come to Lancaster, Pa by about 10 days. If i would have known about this, i probably would have left as soon as i could. I am missing home pretty bad now. It's tough to not go home to any plans though, i feel like i want to do so much when i get there. But, i think i have reached my breaking point and i would love to just sit around and watch tv with my boys ma boyz. I just don't know when I will go back. *sigh* I just don't want to be in Kansas City right now... Anyhow, I'll link you back to the museum page, but i encourage you to search around the rest of the site.

The lines are blurring between digital and physical.
example 1 This is more Sci-Fi style, but amazingly real.
example 2 This is more ridiculous, but again, real.
i would have embeded the video but i am retarded apperenty.

Take this Photoshop! I don't see it taking off as legitimate competition, but it's much better looking then the stagnent look of the Adobe programs.

love, like, Josh
