Resolute

My 2009 Resolutions are:

- The obligatory "lose 30 lbs" by next Christmas vacation
- Explore new places in KC (Jess and i are making a list)
- Start a New Blog and/or update this one more often.
- Be in a house by April (or at least get the Tax credit)
- Make more decisions, quicker
- Get my car registration figured out (preferably before Friday)

October. I have been working hard at Hallmark. The weather has been beautiful, and there are a surprising amount of things to do outside of work. So, this leaves me, as usual, with very little time to blog. But i haven't forgotten.

As a preview of what i might talk about in the future. I'm going camping this weekend in Oklahoma. Also, my friends are coming up for a long weekend toward the end of the month. October and November are going to be good months for music i think. I have been listening to "Dexter" audiobooks, and reading the Watchmen. I started getting a little more serious when it comes to looking for a girlfriend, and that includes online. Trust me, that will make for interesting blog posts later. Not to mention the fact that his is October, so maybe i should have a scary theme to the rest of the posts this month? And i think thats all.

Keep watching Twitter (even though i haven't been doing that much lately either).

Front Page of the Sunday Paper.

Gah, sorry, another big break since i had last blogged. As of yesterday, I am now pulling double duty with blogs, working on Cre•a•tiv•i•ty, as well. Of course, that doesn't make it any easier to blog here, but i have come to grips with that. Besides this, I've been working rigorously on my sister's website... and even harder to level up in Worlds of Warcraft. I just wish there were more time in the day (cliche comment, sorry), but as it is i am already down to 5 or 6 hours of sleep a night. I think i might be going crazy because i swear the voices in my head all talk like David Sedaris now... I have several posts started, it's just a matter of time to finish them, and post them up on the interweb. Until then, have fun over at the other webpage.

Alpha Male Vs The Push-Over

About a week ago my the license on my domain name and hosting expired. After a short debate, i decided to renew them both. This is why my blog and website were down for a couple days, and now, about $150 later, are back up and running. Now that i have spend the money, i am going to make damn certain that i update my website, and blog more often... at least when things cool down.

I have been up to my neck almost all aspects of life since i had last blogged. I went home to see my Dad get remarried, i saw Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of Crystal Skull twice, I saw the Strangers tonight, kickball, a vacation to the Ozarks, keeping busy at work, cycling, and when I can, Worlds of Warcraft. Really, I am having an unbelievable time with life right now. I am finding out things about myself, gaining some self confidence (for now), and have so many things to do it makes my head spin.

Disappointment

Unfortunately, the month of February had to end with my Blogger account going haywire. Otherwise, things have been pretty good. I had to be different, and set up my account to be running off of my website, and now it has turned around to bite me in the ass. Blogger refuses to upload anything normally, and because of this i can't upload pictures at all. AND seeing how this blog depends almost solely on some sort of imagery, it kinda puts a damper on things. Google representatives have yet to respond to my thread i started in the help section, so i am left waiting. I have been testing the upload stream constantly to see if it has changed and since Monday/Tuesday when it went down... it hasn't. My patience is running low now especially with a long boring weekend ahead of me, i was hoping to blog a bit. My only other option, if this continues for too long, is to move to another blog (probably one without FTP upload). That just seems like such a hassle, so i'm not really interested in doing that... but i will. Ey, so the coffee i drank is wearing off. to bring spirits back up, i leave you with these videos. i hope this post works ok.

Thunder is Always Louder in the City

Crap, it's so hard to post anymore. My significant lack of motivation has led me from posting every day to every once-and-a-while. But don't worry trusty readers, this doesn't mean the end of Dusel Blogs!. Infact, you should probably get out while you still can because soon the movie reviews will be back. I have actually been reading other blogs more often now, such as Smosch, Kotaku, of course, the awesome NOTCOT and even sometimes What Would Tyler Durden Do?. For better or worse, i feel like i want to blog more because of them.

Luck for us here in Kansas City, it looks like the freaking Apocalypse outside. And just incase typed sarcasm escapes you, we are not lucky at all. It looks about midnight, just before 3 in the afternoon. Don't forget the tons of rain and flooding.

Computers Don't Talk Back

I feel like this is who i talk to when i'm upset now... everyone. this is really the wrong place for it, but i feel at easy just typing out my emotions here. it's probably best i just keep this page "design oriented". Yet, sadly, i think that will be a feet. I'll post later... going to the gym always give me a good hour to sort through problems.

SInce Heather broke up with me my life has become strange. It's funny, "when one life ends, another begins" the same can be said for love it seams. I learned today that Garth and her boyfriend Aaron are seriously thinking about marriage. To the point where they are looking at rings. Jealous? A little. But mostly excited for them. I used to lead a life that people could envy...now I keep my cell phone close at hand, with the pipe-dream that someone will call, but no one ever does. I force out a large turd for 8 hours a day that vaguely resembles a card, and have to call it solid gold.

Conversely, i have picked up where I left off on my internet presence:
- I gave my Blogger header an overhaul yesterday. The rest still looks like crap, but it's the very small first step in the right direction.
- my MySpace got a makeover the other day. just today MySpace changed a couple things. nothing major from what i can tell though.
- facebook just added causes, gifts, "graffiti" and other things to it's interface.


A new one to the mix is "i'm in like with you.". an online "flirting" site. Here is my page. It has a beautiful interface. Pretty easy to use and an interesting concept. Right now it runs slightly slow but that might be because it is still in it's early versions. I was able to get in on the Beta. If for some reason it tells you, you are unable to join, and you would like to, let me know, i have some invitations they sent me. I guess i am still about a half step above online dating.
