Friday in Hell, Saturday Comes Heaven.

Oh, Friday.
The Fridays have been coming faster lately. The weeks fly by. I'm not exactly sure what i have to look forward to when the weekends get here, but at least it's not work.

Today may as well be part of the weekend based upon the fact that I did pretty much nothing up to this point.

I researched 1-18-08 or whatever they are calling it now. I looks like It's going to called Overnight and it is a brand new monster. Everyone is creating fantistic storys and trying to ruin the plot. It looks like keeping the movie a big secret has actually back fired and made everyone super curious about the story. To the point where people probably wouldn't have gave a shit about a movie entitled "Cheese" filming in Central Park, no matter how awesome it looked.

Sadly enough i am a victim of this odd phenomenon that makes us want to know more. I get less tied up in trying to "make something out of nothing", but i will read everyone elses. Here are a few good examples of sites i have been looking at:
Cloverfield: What We Know So Far - My favorite. Based off of mostly speculation. Run by a cute girl.
Cloverfield Clues - This guy knows what J.J. Abrams ass smells like he does so much research.
http://1-18-08.livejournal.com/ - The most reasonable blogger. Thats why it's not as fun.

It's been a week since i traded in my Pa Licence and became officially pinned to Missouri. I looked a lot different back then. =) I have been concidering drivng home again for Christmas. Heather said she would be interested in "road tripping it" and if her, and possibly more people joyed in on the "fun". It would certainly save on cost. But would it be worth another 17 hours in the car, with possible nasty weather, and would we have enough room for luggage and hopefully lots of gifts on the way back? It's hard to think of winter and Christmas, when it feels like hell on earth outdoors. I look forward to going home again though.

In other news, Riley is getting spay today. Poor girl. I love that dog. I would pretty much do anything for her. I assume everything is going according to plan. Tomorrow, i will be at the airport taking Bob and Lauren, which starts my one week stint with Donte their rottweiler. He and I are good buddies so it should be a good time. Living a week with him will give me a good idea what it will be like to actually have a dog myself... and what it would be like to live on the Kansas side... neat.

Textures. For work, our team (mostly just Tony and I), when they have time, we are compiling textures to add to our work in Photoshop. So i have been dragging a piece of paper on the ground all morning, sanding down images, basically looking like a crazy person. But it's something to do.

I'm not sure what the rest of my agenda is looking like today. Only time will tell.

My Plastic You - the Stryder

Action Figures. I am sitting here falling asleep, so burnt out from last night, looking at action figures for a card.

A lot happened last night, both on a physical level and an emotional level. I am not going to go into detail because i feel like besides the fact that no one reads this boring blog anyhow, it's not helping that the posts are so long. But last night we (as in Green, Riley, Bob, and Lauren) got free ice cream (custard really), i got to see Riley (whom i miss greatly), and even Riley got a small cone. The conversation made for an interesting night. I road my bike home after 11 last night, which made me tired physically. I got a great amount of exercise yesterday, i walked around all day researching, then went to the gym, and of course the bike ride, but i am really feeling it today. Things are going to change for me really soon. I can feel it. Trivia tonight, with some more work folk.

Costumed Mennis

The sun is shining on a mild 71 degree day.

It's hard to catch everyone up, when I haven't made a real post in a while. As i said before, my birthday was good. Birthday "gifts" where still streaming in this week, with the few other relatives that forgot what day my birthday actually was. But loot is loot, and I'm still very glad they didn't forget totally. I have already used a partical amount of the money to by some much needed clothing. I have been struggling with the clothing i have, because nothing fits right.
This week has been a good one in entertainment. And as entertaining as my friends are, i mean media wise. Transformers premeired a new "exculsive" trailer on yahoo.com, that made my underpants brown (if you get me). July 4th can't come soon enough. I saw some trailers for Bee-Movie, Jerry Seinfelds latest.
Spider-man 3, not suprisingly, maybe only 60% of what it had made in it's first week this week. Thats probably because everyone who went out to see it last week (everyone and there mom), told everyone yet to see it (people living under rocks) how much it sucked, so they didn't see it. Yes, Spider-man 3 was a like a ball-sack sandwich. If you don't know whats in it, it looks pretty tasty. But once you taste it, it tastes like a ball-sack. That's bad. Then you can't seem to get that taste of balls out of your mouth. And once they were in your mouth, you can't take that back. I have never tasted ball-sack, but i have tasted spider-man 3.
In other entertainment, Lost was another good episode. I wouldn't say thay have saved themselves from inpending TV doom, but the true fans will stick with them. There is only one more episode left this season, even though it's 2 hours long. After that, 3 season, 16 episodes each. With only 48 episodes left, i think i can make it to the end. Heroes also will be signing off for this season this upcoming week. Being that it's the best drama series that nbc has put out, of course i will be back next year.
With all of these finales, and the midseason line-up strugging to entertain us. Heather and I decided to do the Blockbuster through the mail service. So far, we rented Pan's Laberynth last weekend, and we have yet to see it's postal presence.

Really, thats all thats happening. Riley is getting big. She is a brat, chewing everything she can sick her teeth into. Including her favorite; Flesh. However, she is adorable and an impossiblity to stay angry with her. I am typing this at work, which should normally mean that work is slow, but this time it means that I am waiting on just about every employee to get back to me on the cards i have.

I am thinking i am going to start the comic back up again.

Time for beer and nachos. Come back soon.

Holiday in the City

When you are a kid, you think about how cool everything will be when you grow up. Once you hit college, you realize that growing up means moving away and, well, "growing up". You join the work force, and forget all the fun you had as a kid...

One thing holds true... It's Easter Monday, and it's about an hour from the end of the day here. I have kept myself suprisingly busy for most of the day, and even took a shorter lunch then usual, so i figured I deserved to take a little down time to write something in my blog. It's sucks we even had to come in today. What happened to almost a week off of school.

To keep you updated: I haven't updated in a while because my time has been occupied by the new love of my life; Riley. Riley, is Heathers 8 week old Boston Terrier that we are currently trying to house train, feed, etc. I have been spending more time at her place in the last week then I had all together since she moved into the new apartment. Riley is definately worth it. And I feel like it's helping between Heather and I too. More importantly (just joking, or am I), I got a Nintendo Wii the Saturday before Riley got here. The Wii is pretty much everyone expects it to be. FUCKING AWESOME!

As different as life is now, we still find ways to hold on to childhood and have a good time, such as the Wii. Holidays certainly have changed. Instead of the traditional Easter Sunday were my family would go to church and then eat a small dinner midafternoon, eating candy all the while in between. This year, I woke up late, ate McDonald's Breakfast, then Papa Johns for Easter Dinner. All the while, we took care of the dog, and played the Wii. Of course. I did call my parents, but neither one was available to talk. I feel like friends are closer then family... I feel like that has been like that for a while now. Kansas City was just an excuse to make it a legit reason why. The highlight? Heather got me an Easter Basket. I think it was the timing of it that caught me off guard... but i feel like i need to be more appreciative of it to her. I am pretty thankful for my friends here (especially Heather).

All-in-all, i still think it was a good Easter (and good last couple weeks since I had posted). It wasn't very traditional, but maybe this is a new tradition i could get used to.
