To me, i think they would be more realistic, and therefore touching, if the subjects where unknowns... but thats just my opinion. Most actors can cry on the drop of a hat. Larry Fishburne and the Daniel Craig (shown above) are my favorites. I feel like seeing Hayden Christiansen crying is like seeing strippers take off their clothes (it's their job, and they do it all the time). Men have a sensitive side.
Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there. i hope some day i could be as totally awesome as by Dad.

Baited Questions

Good is Dead. But Chip Kidd isn't. Yet. And it's a good thing, because he was dawning his greatness all over Hallmark today. I have met him once before, back at Kutztown, but that hadn't stopped me from getting super excited for his appearance. For those of you unfamiliar with him or his work, he is a flamboyant, super fun (off the wall), extremely talented designer, known mostly for his work on book jackets. Best known in my eyes for the Jurassic Park cover. He is a lover of old japanese animation and Batman and Superman, he has a "band", and has 3 books of his own. Basically, he is a design rockstar demi-god.

Design Police - Now all they need to do is arrest people for poor design. I think next week i am going to do a dedication to badly designed products, websites, ads, etc. That sounds like a lot of fun. Let the recommendations flow in. To bad i should be on the list too.

i am being a big baby and skipping the gym because i am sore all over. Will I go Saturday to make up for it? ...maybe. i think will do some sit ups then take a nap because i can barely keep my eyes open long enough to do this post.

Josh's Tired Heart.

So, my sister, "Kayla Collins", was on Girls Next Door last night. Yes, the show about Playboy models. And a lot of people are asking me about it. First off, wow, a lot of people watch that show, and... well, probably shouldn't be admitting to it. Just because it's based around smokin' chics, doesn't make it OK to watch. She was on the episode testing for the actual Playboy Magazine. Though people make me feel ashamed to be proud of my sister... i am. she is bold and she is doing what she always wanted to do, so more power to her.

Also, on Sunday night, Aaron and Heather had their Wedding Shower. It just re-enforces the fact that the wedding is just around the corner. While we were at Jack Stack celebrating, we (and by, we i mean my friend Laura because she is the only person that could possibly recognize this person), spotted Kate Spade and her husband Andy "Jack" Spade. Judging by this picture... it was absolutely her. Apparently, she is from this area originally, so it only makes sense that when she is home visiting with family that she would go to a generic BBQ restaurant. So other than spotting JoJo Simmons in Times Square, and Ryan Cabrara in King of Prussia, this is probably one of the only celebrity sightings i will ever have. Especially in Kansas City. Although, with my up and coming sister, who knows.

Tonight, Josh's Super Chunk Chili... i have to say it was pretty tasty. i forgot to take some pictures, but you will have to take my word for it.

Honor and Envy

Update: Heath Ledger was discovered naked and dead of a supposed drug overdose around 3:00PM EST in Mary-Kate Olsen's SoHo apartment. It's being suspected that it was suicide. He was only 28 and left a 2 year old girl... This is really tragic. Is there a possibility that Heath had a threesome with the Olsen twins and decided, now is a good time to go? Hopefully that wasn't in bad taste, because this is seriously a very sad situation.

Update: i freaking love and miss heath ledger.

Dark Parts

So, as most of you have undoubtedly heard the Writer Guild is on strike, putting a end to topical humor on TV for a while, and a hold to many of our beloved scripted TV shows and movies. You can't blame the writers for going on strike, but their contracts couldn't have run out at any worse of a time. TV will be taking the biggest hit, where new coming shows, such as Chuck... and... well others that just started, have no chance of taking off because of a prolonged break in their season. My biggest concern is LOST. They have filmed 8 of 16 episodes and the show comes on in February (more likely late February now). The shows producers are concerned that viewers will be frustrated at the 8 show breaking point, where as there is a rather large cliffhanger planned, and seemed to allude that thats where the season really gets good. In other words.... don't expect LOST to be on until 2009 unless the strike ends soon. Maybe i will read a book...








...I know, yeah right. Thats just silly. HA, books...

Big Hollywood Murder

In the Headlines:
• Nice! Paris Hilton is suing Hallmark for $500,000 to a card the costs $2.94 and i personally don't even think is that good. Probably because she thinks she can copywrite "thats hot". Daddy makes all of his money from owning beautiful hotels, and Paris makes her money from from law suits. Classy.

• Someone was murdered in my alma mater Thursday. Reaffirming the fact that the Mennonites have an evil streak in them. Actually, this is really no laughing matter, it's very heartbreaking. It was 3 dick heads who beat up a 19 year old downtown. Story here.

• I have decided to myself that i just need to talk less, that everything i say can be used against me, and that I need to start doing things for myself, because i'm getting no where like this.
• Carrying on the tradition of Japanese cut paper art, Patrick Gannon now lives in Tokyo, Japan, and put is constantly updating is blog with new work. Why can't this guy be me? If i had any talent at all, i would do this.

• Brittany Spears is going to publicly humiliate herself by opening up the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards, with her latest hook up Criss Angel. Criss Angel will be performing a trick where he makes Brittany's career completely disappear. ZING! Call me Conan if you need a writer.
